MICHAEL R. CUEVAS was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 29, 1953. He earned a BA in Economics from New York University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in 1978.

Mike served four years as Corporation Counsel for the City of Schenectady, three years as Chairman of the N.Y.S. Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and eight and one-half years as Chairman of the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB).

Over the past several years, Mike has been a frequent presenter at CLE programs sponsored by the New York State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, the New York State School Boards Association, the Industrial Relations Research Association, the Public Employment Relations Board, Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and the New England Consortium of Labor Relations Agencies.
