Municipal Finance
The firm's attorneys have been actively engaged in New York State municipal finance for many years. The firm is nationally recognized through its listing in The Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace, commonly known as "The Red Book." The firm has acted as bond counsel to numerous municipalities and other issuers of tax-exempt and taxable bonds. In addition to serving as bond counsel, the firm has also served as special counsel to a variety of municipalities in connection with payments-in-lieu of tax agreements, intermunicipal cooperation agreements, the creation of municipal water and sewer districts and Article 78 proceedings. The firm has also served as letter of credit bank's counsel, underwriter's counsel, trustee's counsel, and developer's counsel in various transactions involving general obligation bonds, revenue bonds and bonds issued on behalf of municipal issuers through not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entities. The firm offers beneficial fee arrangements significantly lower than those of larger, metropolitan firms without compromising the level of representation.
